Cliffs, sand and rolling stones are the characteristic features of more than 30 km of beaches located in Madryn and neighboring Golfo Nuevo coasts.

In Summer the beach can be fully enjoyed as days get considerably longer, approximately 7 hours longer than in winter. The sun rises about 5:30 a.m. and sets between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m., depending on the month of the year.

Ample tidal range

High and low tide occur every 6 hours and define great variations in the coastal landscape. Beaches in front of the city do not have steep slopes. There are about 200 m difference between both tides.
